The Beginning

Vail Gay Ski Week is the rookie of gay ski weeks, which gives it the unique opportunity to set itself apart from your typical gay ski week. This season’s event will build strong relationships and help it to expand quickly over the next few years. Indicators of the solid foundation being constructed for the event include the addition of an experienced media and marketing company (Straight Out Media and Marketing), a partnership with a non-profit organization (the GLBT Community Center of Denver), and goals and strategies being implemented after careful consideration of the target audience, current economic indicators, and other gay ski week events across the nation.

In 2010, Vail Gay Ski Week will include the traditional aspects of a gay ski week such as skiing, Aprés socials, and parties. Vail, however, will differentiate itself from other gay ski weeks by removing the posh vibe, and replacing it with a hom es. Also setting Vail Gay Ski Week apart from area events are the ease of travel to Vail, the e-grown, local, and fun attitude that encompasses the “epic” experience that Vail provid high potential for attendance by Denver and Front Range participants, and the proximity of its activities to ski and snowboarding access.
